Rochford Art Collector Series
Rochford Art Collector Series took place during Rochford Trail, September 2013. Visitors to the Trail could collect and keep a limited run of 7 commissioned artworks by visiting venues on Trail.
Artworks were not made available in one complete piece – each work was reproduced in 9 micro-business card sized, ‘pocketable’ segments. Trail visitors could collect each of the 9 segments, from 9 different venues, and then reassemble the 9 pieces to create the completed artwork. Each artwork (and its comprising 9 segments) was available on one day of the Trail, with 7 complete artworks to collect over 7 days.
Six micro-commissions were made available to artists interested in participating in the project. Artworks were available to collect on the following days in September, and works were also showcased on the companion website www.rochfordartcollectorseries.co.uk (no longer active as of 2017), which provided access to information on the commissions and extra content to accompany the collecting experience:

The concept for Rochford Art Collector Series was developed by artists Damien Robinson and Stuart Bowditch, working with Rochford District Council Arts Development, with funding from Arts Council England.
